Can building materials (flooring, drywall, cabinets, etc.) be salvaged or does everything need to be replaced?

Depending on the extent of the damage and the time since damage has occurred most items should be able to be salvaged. However, it is important that the time since damage has occurred be kept to a minimum–immediate response is paramount.

Will my insurance pay for this?

How long does a typical dry out take?

A typical dry out period is 3 days. However, the drying time can be longer depending on the size and scope of the water damage and other variables.

1) Find the source / turn off water

2) Protect / move furniture and possibly wrap foil or plastic wrap around legs of furniture to protect them

3) Secure emergency water extraction services ASAP
